Why Strict Photo & Signature Dimensions Matter for Government Applications

Major recruitment bodies such as UPSC, SSC, IBPS, and State PSCs reject thousands of candidate registration forms annually due to improper file dimensions, incorrect file weights, or poor aspect ratios. Most recruitment portals enforce automated validation scripts that immediately discard images exceeding specific boundaries—typically 20 KB to 50 KB for passport photographs (often requiring a 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm aspect ratio) and 10 KB to 20 KB for signatures on white backgrounds with black or blue ink.

Using a standard mobile photo directly from your camera gallery frequently leads to server-side upload errors because modern smartphone files average 3 MB to 8 MB. This free tool compresses and calibrates your image resolution strictly within candidate-portal specifications without blurring your face or distorting your signature strokes. Always inspect the preview before downloading: ensure your ears are visible, the background remains neutral white or light grey, and the signature contains no shadows or camera angles.
