A total of 85 vacancies have been announced. Eligible and interested sportspersons can submit their applications online up to the specified deadline.   • For Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 18 to 25 Years
  • For Tax Assistant & Stenographer Grade-II: 18 to 27 Years
  • Age Relaxation for Meritorious Sportspersons:
    • General / OBC Sportspersons: Up to 5 Years
    • SC / ST Sportspersons: Up to 10 Years
    • Relaxations apply strictly as per Government of India guidelines (DoPT) for Sports Quota appointments.

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Data Entry Skill: Must possess a data entry speed of 8,000 Key depressions per hour (tested separately).
Stenographer Grade-II Level-4
(₹25,500 - ₹81,100)
  • Education: 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Skill Test Norms: Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m; Transcription: 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi) on a computer.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Level-1
(₹18,000 - ₹56,900)
  • Education: Matriculation (Class 10th) pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Mandatory Sports Eligibility: Candidates must be meritorious sportspersons having represented the Country/State in National/International competitions, or their University in Inter-University tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board, or State School Teams in National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the SGFI. Relevant sports certificates (Form-1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) must be submitted.

Income Tax Sports Quota Selection Process

The recruitment process strictly follows the evaluation of sports credentials and mandatory skill tests:

  • Order of Preference: First preference is given to candidates who have represented the country internationally, followed by those who represented their state at the national level, then inter-university participants, and finally national school games participants.
  • Document Scrutiny: Rigorous verification of sports certificates (Forms 1 to 5) and educational documents.
  • Field / Ground Proficiency Test: Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo a ground proficiency test to verify their active participation and physical fitness in their respective sports discipline.
  • Skill Test: For Tax Assistant (Data Entry Speed Test) and Stenographer Grade-II (Typing/Shorthand Test) as applicable.
